CSA ARTS & CRAFTS FAIR 

9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m., Wednesday, July 23, 2025

The Congregational Summer Assembly (CSA) will host its annual Arts and Crafts Fair on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 from 9:30am to 3pm, rain or shine. With over 90 participating artisans and vendors from across Michigan and beyond, attendees will find:

  • Decorative art, including pottery wall hangings to oil paintings, watercolors and fine photography of stunning local landscapes
  • Wooden works – vases, bowls, birdhouses and furniture
  • Children’s delights – handmade toddler outfits, American Girl doll clothes, books, pillows and blankets
  • Handcrafted herbal soaps, paper goods, baskets and furniture
  • Wearable art from t-shirts to dresses and hats
  • Jewelry of all kinds, from pieces crafted from old silverware to those made with semi-precious stones
  • Petoskey stone works of art - including jewelry, lamps, picture frames and furniture

The Cottage Treasures sale is from 9am to 1pm inside the CSA Assembly Building, adjacent to the Fair. Cottage Treasures Donation Drop Off Dates and Times: Friday, July 18th 9am. - 3pm; Saturday, July 19th 12pm. - 4pm; Sunday, July 20th 12pm - 4pm; Monday, July 21st 9am - 3pm.

The Silent Auction will be online again in 2025, powered by Givergy, and available to the entire community both local and beyond! The auction will feature new themed baskets, gift cards to local establishments, and experiences. Auction items will be displayed in the Assembly Building on Wednesday from 9am–1pm. There will be NO handwritten bid sheets. However, someone will be available at the Fair to help you register online and guide you through the bidding process. We will also have the option of placing a bid for you manually into the system if you choose not to register online yourself.

Bidding will begin on Tuesday, July 22nd at 10:00am EST and ends on Wednesday, July 23rd at 1:00pm EST. (Items will be available to view online beginning Sunday, July 20th at 12pm.)  
All winning items must be claimed by 2pm on Wednesday (7/23) by the successful bidder or their representative. Although we prefer to have items picked up in person, we will ship USPS at the recipient’s expense. If you have any questions, please contact Jennifer Potter (314) 412-2000.

The Crystal View Café (located at 2175 Pilgrim Hwy across M-22) will be open for take-out from 11am until 5pm.

The CSA Arts and Crafts Fair is sponsored by the CSA Women’s Association to raise funds to support local charities and projects to enhance the CSA.

The registration fee (see schedule below) must be sent in with your application. Your cancelled check is your acceptance notification. If immediate notification of acceptance is desired, please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope. The State of Michigan requires a valid Michigan Sales Tax License for fair exhibitors. All exhibits are shown at the exhibitor’s risk, freeing CSA from any liability.

In keeping with the philosophy of the CSA to promote the physical, intellectual and spiritual welfare of the community, no guns or gun-like toys will be sold at the CSA Arts and Crafts Fair. Out of respect for our artisans, we ask that no mass-produced (i.e., buy/sell) items be displayed or sold.

PLEASE REMEMBER:

– The fair date is always the fourth Wednesday of July.

– Registration and set-up for the fair starts at 6:30am. There will be absolutely no setting up the night before. No camping is permitted on the CSA grounds.

– Show time for the Fair is 9:30am to 3pm. No booth breakdown is permitted prior to close.

– Adult booth space is 11 x 11. If more space is needed, vender may apply for two booths.

– Application deadlines and Fees: Please note that the Adult booth fee is $75 for applications received by June 1st. After June 1st, the fee increases to $85 per booth. These fees also apply to CSA members.

– Teens and children may apply to exhibit in the designated children’s area. They will not be assigned a specific space. Fee is $10 for teens aged 13-18 and $5 for children 12 and under.

– Non-Profits will not be charged a fee to exhibit but space is limited and awarded on a first come, first served basis.

–Checks for all fees are to be made payable to CSA Women’s Association.

2025 Q&A For Vendors

Q: What is the deadline for submitting a 2025 booth application?
A: June 1, 2025 for a discounted rate of $75 ($85 after 6/1). Click here for the 2025 CSA Arts & Crafts Fair Application.

Q: What is the date of the fair?
A: The 2025 fair will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd, rain or shine. The CSA Arts & Crafts fair is always held on the fourth Wednesday in July.

Q: What are the fair hours?
A: The fair is open to the public from 9:30am to 3:00pm.

Q: What is the street address for the art fair? I want to get directions on Google/Yahoo maps.
A: 2128 Pilgrim Highway Frankfort, MI 49635-9247 (two miles north of Frankfort, MI, where M-22 and Crystal Lake meet). 

Q: Can I set up the night before?
A: No. We are not in a position to provide overnight security for your property. The field is used for sports activities the day before.

Q: How early can I set up and how will the fair be publicized?
A: Check in opens at 6:30am. We will greet you with a folder and a space number assignment. Parking volunteers will then help you locate your space and show you where to park. Please UPS - Unload, Park and Setup. Parking is limited and it is courteous to fellow exhibitors to move your vehicle out of the way prior to setting up. In terms of advertising and publicity, we have a publicity team that works on getting out press releases and adding to websites' almanac (like Pure Michigan and Interlochen) in the early part of the year. We put up posters all across Benzie county and also do yard signs. We also advertise the art fair in local papers. 

Q: Where should I park?
A: We have dedicated parking for artists/crafters. Parking volunteers will help you locate your space and show you where to park. In the packet you receive at check-in, you will get a slip that should be put on your dashboard. That will allow us to find you if your vehicle should need to be moved.

Q: Will someone be available to cover my space while I take a food or bathroom break?
A: Yes. We have strolling “Exhibitor Relief” volunteers who can be easily identified by their name tags. Please feel free to ask for assistance. You need to take your cash box with you when you leave your space.

Q: Will the fair be held on the scheduled date in the event of rain?
A: Yes. Our 2025 fair will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd, rain or shine.

Q: Are there camp grounds nearby?

A: Yes. There are several choices. Check with the Frankfort, MI Chamber of Commerce. No camping is permitted on the CSA grounds.

Q: How can non-profit organizations apply?
A: We have a limited number of non-profit spaces available at no charge on a first come, first serve basis. Non-profits should complete an application and send it to the Art Fair Exhibit Coordinator at the address shown on the application.

Q: Can I park an RV?
A: We have limited parking and can accommodate only one RV, on a first come, first serve basis.

Q: What is the size of an adult booth space?
A: An adult booth is 11 feet by 11 feet in size.

Q: What is the cost of an adult booth space?
A: $75.00 before 6/1/2025 and $85.00 after that. A booth is not reserved until payment is received.

Q: What is a child’s space? What is the cost of a child’s space?
A: We have a children’s area available behind the main booth area. You must be 18 years of age or younger to sell art in that section. There is a $5.00 fee for children ages 12 and under. Children ages 13 to 18 must pay a $10.00 fee. There are no formal spaces. Children bring a small table and chair and set up in any open space.
